Hello, gorgeous! Such a lovely day today. We are finally enjoying some proper sun, and everything is just so bright and yellow. It hurts to have to stay indoors and work. Just wanted to say "hello" before my lunch break officially ends. Hope you're well.

Hello Sarah,
I'm sorry to hear about how stressful school is. I hope this card cheers you up. They're bathhouses in Cape Town. Your Union Station looks like a yummy waffer taken from this angle (or maybe it's because I'm not wearing glasses). It's Friday tomorrow. I'm excited about the weekend.

Hello Sarah,
Here's a random summer card. I think this was taken during the late 1980s. It's so interesting to look at the way people here take in the day.

I have to applaud you for being an English Major. That's one major I would NEVER attempt (along with Physics and Engineering). I was an Art History and Russian major, but Im done with school for a while (yay!). At least until I can narrow the focus for my masters, that is. Enjoy your summer vacation! You'll miss them when they're gone!

I have visited Arkansas many times and have been awed by its natural beauty each time. I think that the fall is my favorite time to be there.

Hi Sarah,
Oregon is a beautiful state. I was here last summer and has hoped to go again this year, but it didn't work out. We spent a couple of days on the beach. Very relazing. 3 of my sisters live in Oregon.

Sarah,
Hello, hope things are going good for you. :) Besides work, I can't complain. I know this isn't the average scenic postie but I like the look of it. Enjoy.

Somewhere over the rainbow, if dreams to dome true, I'll be with Rufus who died last year and will forever be in my heart. Your postcrossing bio made me think ~ I love that song so much, I can't just send a cityview of Seattle. I should do something else. This is one of my favorite pics of Rufus. I haven't made many postcards yet. I should get glossy paper. :S
All the Best,
Robert.

This is the reason I love sending and receiving postcards so much.

Sarah- This is my family home town. I just love the square. My nephew and his wife still live there in an 1800s home. I now call Indianapolis home. Have only been to the northwest once, visited a cousin in Tacoma.
Enjoy,

"Missouri is named for an Algonquan Indian word meaning "town of the large canoes". Missouri is sometimes referred to as the "Mother of the West" because it once lat at the frontier of the country, and served as a starting point for westbound pioneers, including Meriweather Lewis and William Clark."
"TOPPENISH
WASHINGTON
About 1910, a strapping, hard-drinking sheepherder called Irish Dick trader a pet bear cub to a Toppenish sallon-keeper for whiskey. Some months later, the rowdy shepherd was in town when his grown-up pet escaped, panicking the townsfolk. He offered to return the bear to its tether. A terrible fight on main street ended when an unharmed bear was returned to saloon servitude and a brave and bloodied Irishman was taken to the hospital"
